Central medallion featuring the July Column in Paris and stating "JULIE/1830", embossed around the edge "AUX HEROS NORTS EN DEFENDANT LES LOIS", all above a translucent blue ground, polished pontil mark. Cristallerie de Clichy. 1845-1855. 1 1/2", 1 7/8" D.
 
This piece is illustrated in the 2010 PCA Bulletin on p. 82. Mr. McKeon has stated that this is the only example of this sulphide that he has seen.
 
Nearly undamaged with a small bruise to the edge, some light surface wear.
